Our next Meet the Team feature is on one of our account managers, Sara Doyle. Sara joined Peacock Salt six months ago and quickly took over our Aqua, Animal Feed, Skin and Hide and industrial sectors, bringing her wealth of experience and a friendly approach to our customers.

Originally from a village in Penycae, Wales (with the nearest landmark being the famous Wrexham!), Sara is a fluent Welsh speaker and even completed her GCSEs in Welsh a very impressive feat. As a former choir singer, she competed at national-level Eisteddfods and still loves a good karaoke night! On top of that, Sara is learning Spanish, inspired by her retirement plans in the charming Spanish town of Pinoso.

Sara's Role

Sara has always been in sales, just in different sectors. With nearly 30 years of experience, she has worked in finance, FMCGs, recycling, and now salt. In her role as an Account Manager at Peacock Salt, she manages four sectors, each with its own unique challenges. In her time here, she has gained expertise in salting, folding, and treating hides and skins, learned the specialist aquaculture and salmon farming sector, experienced the fast-paced world of animal feeds, and explored the varied industrial sector. Sara says her time at Peacock Salt has opened her eyes to the wide-ranging uses of salt—things she “never had any idea of in the past!”

Sara says she would be a prosecuting barrister, reflecting her love of detail and passion for uncovering every fact.

A piece of advice for Sara’s younger self

Her advice to her younger self is simple, “Don’t worry about one thing and do something you love.” She describes her proudest career moment as building her career as a single mum from the age of 26, balancing full-time work and raising her daughter, who now hopes to become a teacher.

Life outside of Peacock Salt

Sara enjoys travelling and always has her next trip booked. She’s also a big fan of finding the perfect wine and brunch spots in Manchester.
