With the World Cup capturing global attention this summer, we found the perfect inspiration to kick off our yearly charity initiative. We’re delighted to announce our upcoming challenge The Big Peacock Kickabout 2026! We’ve picked two well deserving charities Glasgow Children’s Hospital and Saving and Rehoming Strays, both of which are worthy causes doing good work in our local community. Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity has supported children and families across Scotland since 2001, helping to enhance care at Glasgow’s children’s hospital. Saving and Rehoming Strays is a Scottish charity dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs from the UK and Europe, particularly Romania.

The challenge

Inspired by the summer of football, we will be playing a continuous 24-hour Walking Football Match! We will be kicking off the first match at 5pm on Thursday 3rd of September and the final whistle will be blown at 5pm on Friday 4th of September.

What is walking football? 

Walking football is a modified form of football where the players walk instead of run. The rules are simple, players are required to walk at a moderate pace, 1 foot must be on the ground and there is no tackling.

How will it work? 

Players will rotate through the 24-hour period to ensure that there is sufficient time to rest and rehydrate.
