We are delighted to announce our charity project for 2025. This year, we’re swapping walking boots for wellies as we support a truly inspiring local initiative.

River Garden is a unique recovery programme in Auchincruive, helping people break free from drug and alcohol addiction. Run by IDAS (Independence from Drugs and Alcohol Scotland), the programme is based on a beautiful site featuring a carefully restored 18th-century house, extensive gardens, a pond, and a welcoming café.

Residents and participants gain valuable skills and trades that prepare them to reintegrate into society. Just as importantly, they build friendships, join groups, and discover new hobbies in a relaxed and supportive environment. One of the most powerful aspects of River Garden is its community: employees, volunteers, and participants work side by side, indistinguishable from one another—creating an atmosphere free of stigma and full of hope for a fulfilling life beyond the programme.

Starting the week of 1st September, our team will be on site each day in groups, rolling up our sleeves to help wherever needed—while also providing materials, equipment, and expertise.
